Humans Unconditionally Giving Support (H.U.G.S.) was founded because we saw members of our community falling through the cracks. Too many people, especially those who identify as LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and other marginalized communities, faced barriers to accessing affirming mental health care, advocacy, and support. We knew our community deserved better. H.U.G.S. was created to respond to those gaps by building a place where people are welcomed without judgment, supported with compassion, and connected to services that honor their unique experiences. We believe healing happens when people feel safe, respected, and empowered, and we are committed to creating equitable opportunities for individuals and families to thrive. Through therapy, community partnerships, advocacy, education, and restorative practices, we work alongside our neighbors to foster belonging, reduce barriers, and create lasting change across Central Minnesota. At H.U.G.S., support is more than a service. It's a promise that no one has to navigate life's challenges alone.
